As a result of years of use, mattresses start to smell really bad, mainly due to mold growth. We sweat and release body oils during the night, which get into the sheets, and over time, this impregnates the mattress. Furthermore, if your child wets the bed, the situation is even worse. There’s a quick and easy way to get rid of that moldy smell on your mattress.
Try to find out what is causing the bad smell in your mattress.
The fastest way to get rid of the nasty smell
🛒 You need:
-
Steam cleaner
-
Baking soda
First, open the window and use a steam cleaner. With the steamer, clean the mattress properly and make sure to soften the stained areas thoroughly.
After that, sprinkle a generous layer of baking soda over the mattress. Don’t be greedy…sprinkle enough baking soda to cover the entire surface. Let the baking powder work for at least three hours.
Next, vacuum the baking soda and use the steam cleaner again. For best results, let the mattress dry for 2-3 days.
Your mattress will look like new without any freaky smell or stain!
