Be Your Own Plumber! Get Rid Of That Bad Drain Odor In 2 Non-Chemical Steps

Mold and unpleasant odors can affect drainage pipes, especially when the weather is very warm or rainy. Although deodorizing sprays can cover unpleasant odors, they are not a long-term solution as they don’t treat the underlying problem.

Fortunately, we can prepare many inexpensive natural remedies at home, which are equally effective.

Baking soda and white vinegar are all you need. These two organic ingredients will kill mold, eliminate grease deposits and remove any other substances that cause unpleasant odors.

🛒 Ingredients:

▪ ½ cup of baking soda

▪ 1 cup of white vinegar

▪ 2 cups of hot water

🧽 Instructions:

First, bring the water to a boil.

As soon as it starts to boil, add the white vinegar and mix well.

Meanwhile, pour baking soda over your drain.

Pour the hot water and white vinegar mixture down the drain so that it combines well with baking soda.

You will immediately notice an effervescent reaction. (Don’t worry, this is perfectly normal.)

To prevent water or any other substance from entering, cover the leak for an hour.

Ideally, you should let the mix sit overnight to get the best results.

To prevent bad drainage odors, follow this trick once a week.

As you can see, keeping the drain pipes clean and free of unwanted odors doesn’t require a lot of money. Furthermore, this trick eliminates the need for environmentally harmful chemicals.
