3 Home Hacks To Remove Salt And Mud Stains From UGGs Without Damaging Them

UGG boots are very trendy and our feet appreciate their comfort and warmth. UGGs won’t cause bunions or cracked heels, and their high quality soles won’t make you slip on ice, so you won’t fall on them during winter. Despite all these advantages, UGG boots have a slight “flaw”: they get dirty very easily, and are quite demanding to clean.

The leather on UGG boots acts as a sponge for mud and snow, leaving some unsightly stains.

But, any problem has a solution, so, cleaning UGG boots isn’t impossible if you follow the next steps:

🟡 First step: Clean them with a soft brush.

Clean the UGG leather thoroughly with a soft cloth brush.

If you use a rough brush made of plastic or abrasive material, it will leave deep traces in the suede, and they will look much uglier over time.

🟢 Second step: Water and vinegar.

Clean the UGG boots with a solution of equal parts water and vinegar. To avoid damaging the velvety suede surface, use a very fine sponge or cotton handkerchief soaked in the water and vinegar mixture.

Do not use strong detergents or solvents on these boots if they have greasy stains. Mix only 2 drops of dish soap with a cup of warm water and gently rub the stains with a soft sponge.

🔵 Third step: Dry the UGG boots at room temperature.

The boots should never be dried on a radiator or in direct sunlight. Dehydration of the sheep leather will cause wrinkles that cannot be removed.

Let them dry in a cool place overnight.
