How to get rid of spiders with DIY methods

Spiders inside the pantry give you a hard time? See how to get rid of them with quick and effective DIY solutions, whether you live in a house or in an apartment.

Essential peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus oils are very effective natural repellents, and they bring freshness and a pleasant smell in the house.

Use a solution of a few drops of essential oil and water and spray it all over the areas where you saw spiders or webs.

Place chestnuts on the window’s ledges, doors and cabinets where you noticed spider’s presence. Although there isn’t scientific evidence showing that the insects hate chestnuts, some people say that this is the most effective way to keep spiders away from your home.

Get rid of all those objects and plants that attract spiders, such as old newspapers, book piles, empty bottles with no corks, etc. Clean frequently and vacuum to areas between furniture, appliances and walls because spiders love such hard to reach and rarely cleaned areas.

A pet can solve the problem because they are snooping around the house, including dark and hidden places where spiders make their homes.

Another effective repellent is made by mixing salt and water and which is sprayed over the plants on the porch or in the garden and next to potted plants. The solution must be properly diluted because you don’t want to kill the plant.

Tomato leaves mixed with water is another good repellent DIY solution against spiders. Keep it in the refrigerator and use it when needed.

Scented candles and tobacco smell act as a repellent for spiders, so you can try flavors like the anti-mosquito ones, which come in various forms.
